Youth Worker - Junior
A Youth Worker - Junior is a outcomes-focused professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll coordinate with families, government agencies, keeping intake notes well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll focus on getting the fundamentals right, with guidance from experienced colleagues and clear checklists or templates. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of secure record-keeping tools to track and communicate progress.
What you’ll do day to day
- Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and reporting documentation
- Advocate for clients and assist with navigating systems and entitlements
- Support community engagement activities, programs or events where required
- Manage risk, safety and duty-of-care responsibilities in complex situations
- Follow established procedures and checklists, escalating issues early and learning from feedback
Skills and tools to learn
Core skills: active listening, boundaries, documentation, culturally safe practice, learning agility
Software/Platforms: secure record keeping, case management systems, Microsoft 365
