Youth Case Worker
As a Youth Case Worker, you bring a calm under pressure approach to delivering services and supporting teams to meet their goals. You'll coordinate with families, clients, keeping intake notes well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll balance quality and pace, using judgement to triage requests and escalate risks at the right time. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of case management systems to track and communicate progress.
What you’ll do day to day
- Provide client support through intake, assessment and referral pathways
- Manage risk, safety and duty-of-care responsibilities in complex situations
- Support community engagement activities, programs or events where required
- Develop and review plans with clients, focusing on practical, achievable outcomes
- Contribute to compliance, quality standards and continuous improvement activities
Skills and tools to learn
Core skills: active listening, documentation, boundaries, case coordination, culturally safe practice
Software/Platforms: secure record keeping, case management systems, Microsoft 365
Methods/Knowledge: risk and safety planning, strengths-based practice, referral pathways
