Payroll Administration Officer
A Payroll Administration Officer is a practical professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll coordinate with leaders, auditors, keeping reconciliations well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll own recurring tasks end-to-end, manage competing priorities and recommend small improvements that reduce friction. You'll be successful when stakeholders feel supported, work is well documented, and systems like ERP/accounting platforms are kept reliable and current.
What you’ll do day to day
- Analyse variances and highlight risks, issues or opportunities for action
- Improve spreadsheets and templates to reduce errors and manual effort
- Assist with reconciliations, invoice processing and financial record keeping
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards, ensuring data is accurate and timely
- Maintain documentation for processes, controls and audit readiness
- Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve reporting quality
- Support month-end activities and timelines to meet reporting deadlines
Skills and tools to learn
Core skills: attention to detail, analysis, problem solving, numeracy, stakeholder communication
Software/Platforms: Power BI, Xero/MYOB, Excel, ERP/accounting platforms
