Mental Health Support Worker
The Mental Health Support Worker supports consistent delivery by coordinating tasks, information and stakeholders across the workday. You'll coordinate with care teams, patients, keeping risk assessments well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll balance quality and pace, using judgement to triage requests and escalate risks at the right time. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of Microsoft 365 to track and communicate progress.
What you’ll do day to day
- Contribute to quality improvement and risk management activities
- Deliver safe, person-centred care in line with clinical standards and scope of practice
- Conduct assessments and contribute to care plans, updating notes accurately
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Complete documentation and handovers to ensure continuity of care
Skills and tools to learn
Core skills: empathy, clinical communication, risk assessment, teamwork, documentation
Software/Platforms: clinical systems (varies by service), telehealth tools, Microsoft 365
Methods/Knowledge: care planning, infection prevention, medication safety (as applicable)
