A Junior Cloud Administrator is a outcomes-focused professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll coordinate with IT teams, vendors, keeping tickets well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll build confidence by following established processes, asking questions early and learning the systems used across the team. You'll be successful when stakeholders feel supported, work is well documented, and systems like ServiceNow/Jira are kept reliable and current.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Respond to support requests, diagnosing issues and documenting outcomes in the ticketing system
  • Set up and maintain user access, devices and accounts in line with policies
  • Assist with patching, updates and preventative maintenance to improve reliability
  • Contribute to security hygiene such as MFA, endpoint protection and basic audits
  • Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and service requests as needed
  • Follow established procedures and checklists, escalating issues early and learning from feedback

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: customer support, troubleshooting, security mindset, prioritisation, learning agility

Software/Platforms: Azure/AWS basics, endpoint/security tools, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow/Jira

Methods/Knowledge: incident response runbooks, ITIL basics, checklists and templates
