As an IT Manager, you bring a calm under pressure approach to delivering services and supporting teams to meet their goals. You'll coordinate with vendors, IT teams, keeping incident notes well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll lead people and delivery, setting expectations, allocating work and improving performance through coaching and clear measures. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of Azure/AWS to track and communicate progress.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Assist with patching, updates and preventative maintenance to improve reliability
  • Contribute to security hygiene such as MFA, endpoint protection and basic audits
  • Respond to support requests, diagnosing issues and documenting outcomes in the ticketing system
  • Support basic network and application troubleshooting for end users
  • Monitor systems and alerts, escalating incidents according to runbooks
  • Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and service requests as needed
  • Lead delivery through planning, resourcing and coaching, ensuring goals and service levels are met

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: prioritisation, customer support, documentation, troubleshooting, stakeholder management

Software/Platforms: ServiceNow/Jira, endpoint/security tools, Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS basics

Methods/Knowledge: incident response runbooks, access management, governance and reporting
