A Community Services Worker is a detail-oriented professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll work with families, service providers and maintain clear referrals so decisions and actions stay on track. You'll balance quality and pace, using judgement to triage requests and escalate risks at the right time. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of Microsoft 365 to track and communicate progress.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Support community engagement activities, programs or events where required
  • Contribute to compliance, quality standards and continuous improvement activities
  • Provide client support through intake, assessment and referral pathways
  • Develop and review plans with clients, focusing on practical, achievable outcomes
  • Manage risk, safety and duty-of-care responsibilities in complex situations
  • Advocate for clients and assist with navigating systems and entitlements
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and reporting documentation

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: culturally safe practice, documentation, boundaries, active listening, case coordination

Software/Platforms: case management systems, Microsoft 365, secure record keeping
