A Community Peer Worker is a people-centred professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll partner with service providers, families to keep work moving and ensure key progress reports are accurate and up to date. You'll balance quality and pace, using judgement to triage requests and escalate risks at the right time. Success looks like timely follow-through, strong communication and confident use of tools such as Microsoft 365.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Contribute to compliance, quality standards and continuous improvement activities
  • Provide client support through intake, assessment and referral pathways
  • Support community engagement activities, programs or events where required
  • Develop and review plans with clients, focusing on practical, achievable outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and reporting documentation

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: culturally safe practice, documentation, boundaries, active listening, case coordination

Software/Platforms: case management systems, secure record keeping, Microsoft 365

Methods/Knowledge: risk and safety planning, strengths-based practice, referral pathways
