A Community Development Worker is a detail-oriented professional who helps deliver reliable outcomes in day-to-day operations. You'll coordinate with service providers, families, keeping intake notes well managed and easy to access when needed. You'll own recurring tasks end-to-end, manage competing priorities and recommend small improvements that reduce friction. Success looks like timely follow-through, strong communication and confident use of tools such as Microsoft 365.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Develop and review plans with clients, focusing on practical, achievable outcomes
  • Provide client support through intake, assessment and referral pathways
  • Coordinate with service providers and agencies to support wraparound care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and reporting documentation
  • Support community engagement activities, programs or events where required

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: boundaries, culturally safe practice, case coordination, active listening, documentation

Software/Platforms: secure record keeping, Microsoft 365, case management systems

Methods/Knowledge: risk and safety planning, strengths-based practice, referral pathways
