The Cloud Support Technician supports consistent delivery by coordinating tasks, information and stakeholders across the workday. You'll work with IT teams, end users and maintain clear runbooks so decisions and actions stay on track. You'll balance quality and pace, using judgement to triage requests and escalate risks at the right time. Strong performance is shown through consistent delivery, accurate records and effective use of Azure/AWS to track and communicate progress.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Maintain documentation, FAQs and knowledge base articles for common issues
  • Assist with patching, updates and preventative maintenance to improve reliability
  • Monitor systems and alerts, escalating incidents according to runbooks
  • Respond to support requests, diagnosing issues and documenting outcomes in the ticketing system
  • Contribute to security hygiene such as MFA, endpoint protection and basic audits

Skills and tools to learn

Core skills: prioritisation, customer support, security mindset, documentation, troubleshooting

Software/Platforms: ServiceNow/Jira, endpoint/security tools, Azure/AWS basics, Microsoft 365

Methods/Knowledge: incident response runbooks, ITIL basics, access management
